Hello. Welcome to Buckland Park Lake, set between Dorking and Reigate in Surrey.

Home to a pristine 50-acre lake and a water sports lagoon. Dramatic cliffs, almost 50 acres of mature woodland, walking trails, an abundance of birdlife and hides for spotting them from. Due to the wildlife, we can’t allow dogs, so please leave your four legged friend at home.

Our relaxed restaurant, The Reverie, serves light bites, meals and drinks and the view across the lake from the terrace is something special. Any guests with a reservation at The Reverie will receive a three hour free-parking ticket, and no entry ticket to the park needs to be purchased.

Our lagoon is home to The Surrey Hills Adventure Company (or The SHAC), who run standup paddle boarding activities, open water swimming, e-foil and a host of waterside wellbeing sessions. Please remember to pre-book your SUP or swim session with The SHAC, because we only run pre-booked sessions and swimming is not otherwise permitted.

We have a number of partners offering Wellness activities, such as yoga, 1:1 sessions and fitness classes.

What a wonderful area and almost hidden from view on the main road to Reigate. Something for everyone - wonderful meals at The Reverie / picnics near the water / swimming / canoeing / birdwatching - a place for all ages.

Delicious food 😋 The walk round the lake was great too, peaceful and serene 🙂

Small beautiful lake walk. Lots of activities on the lake and outside yoga. Lovely Breakfast coffee and dinner menus at the restaurant over looking the lake. Only downside would be entry per person think this should be per car

Went on the segeway experience day good fun, friendly staff and well worth doing. The park itself was clean and very picturesque, world consider trying out paddle boarding on the lake Restrooms: Very clean Picnic area: Looked very nice but didn't use

This is a beautiful place for a day out with the family, who love water activities, but you have to book ahead. It's a great place to learn paddle board. Lake swimming, Playground: Sand pit for the kids Picnic area: Yes, there is a large space for picnic.

Idyllic setting! The best of our natural world is here to enjoy. I was able to try stand-up paddle boarding in the lovely lake in warm sunshine 🌞 and hot shower afterwards! Playground: Ideal setting for children of all ages. A place to allow them to roam with the natural world and wildlife. Restrooms: Clean and well maintained. Picnic area: Lots if really scenic spots to sit, completely relax and unwind!

Lovely location. Great that it's exclusively for prebookings only to keep visitor numbers down. Plenty of Geese and ducks to see. Watersports available to prebook. Restaurant reservations only. Quiet environment around lake. Lots of parking. Good that no dogs are allowed to protect wildlife.

Ideal lovely location. Lake surrounded by trees creating a tranquil place to take a stroll. Recommend eating at The Reverie.

I really liked this place, I didn't know much about it until I actually went around and walked the lake. We chose a good day to go as it was very sunny and relatively warm. It was quiet as well so it was very peaceful, which you wouldn't think for a place opposite the Dorking main road. Anyway, if you are looking for a new walk or want somewhere to go for peace and quiet for the day, this is the place.

Beautiful hidden away gem. Lovely restaurant, food was good, staff were efficient & friendly. Lake was amazing. Lots of geese with their babies just trotting about ❤

3rd trip down to SHAC and it never fails to deliver. Spent the evening swimming whilst the rest of our group paddle boarded and it was delightful.

Opening hours

Last entry one hour before closing.

We plan to open every day apart from 25th and 26th December, but there may be occasional unforeseen closures due to adverse weather.

Opening hours may also be reduced during winter months, please check before visiting.

SHUTTLE SERVICE / GUIDED TOURS

With the exciting addition of El Rucio, our four seater electric buggy, we can now offer the following services;

/ Guided tours of the park.

/ A shuttle service from the car park, to harder to reach areas of the park eg The Reverie, picnic lawn or bird hides.
